Komoot to Wahoo: get your Komoot tours onto a Wahoo ELEMNT
Want a Komoot tour on your Wahoo ELEMNT? The ELEMNT app takes routes as GPX files, so export the tour first. Export GPX saves any of your Komoot tours — recorded or planned, including private ones — as a standard GPX on your Android phone, ready to add under Routes in the ELEMNT app and sync to a ROAM or BOLT. Free, no computer needed.
Step by step
- Install Export GPX (free) from Google Play.
- Sign in with Komoot. Komoot's own login page opens inside the app — the app never sees your password.
- Pick a tour — any recorded or planned tour. You can also tap Share → Export GPX from the Komoot app.
- Tap GPX. A standard
.gpxfile is saved wherever you choose. - Add it in the Wahoo ELEMNT app. Open Routes, add the GPX file, and it syncs to your ELEMNT.
On the Wahoo itself
After it syncs, on the ELEMNT open Routes, pick the tour and tap Ride. You'll follow the line with turn prompts and an off-course beep if you leave it.
