Komoot to Garmin: export your Komoot tours as GPX
Want a Komoot route on your Garmin or Wahoo? Export it as a standard GPX file first. Export GPX does this in a few taps on your Android phone — any recorded or planned Komoot tour, including private ones, saved as a GPX you can load onto a Garmin, Wahoo or GPS watch. Free, no computer needed.
Step by step
- Install Export GPX (free) from Google Play.
- Sign in with Komoot. Komoot's own login page opens inside the app — the app never sees your password.
- Pick a tour — any recorded or planned tour. You can also tap Share → Export GPX from the Komoot app to open a tour straight here.
- Tap GPX. A standard
.gpxfile is saved wherever you choose. - Import it into Garmin Connect (or your device app — see below).
Getting the GPX onto your device
- Komoot to Garmin: in Garmin Connect, open Training & Planning → Courses → Import, choose the GPX, then send the course to your watch or bike computer.
- Komoot to Wahoo: in the ELEMNT app, open Routes and add the GPX file.
- Also works with Hammerhead, Bryton, Coros, Suunto, OsmAnd, Locus Map and Gaia GPS.
